The wreck  of the  Eduard Bohlen held a  fascination for Keith Alexander, and he loved painting it together with powerful desert icons. His favourite is the gemsbok, and here
he portrays the two images under the blazing desert sun. The light is so bright as to
make the scene appear over-exposed.

Nothing moves except the gemsbok;the ship will not move again.
