very striking painting 'The Hold'.
One of the Eduard Bohlen series, this was painted in 1996,
and measures 75cm x 106cm. It provides a rare bridge between
the Kolmanskop and Eduard Bohlen canvases, and offers
as always a masterful display of light and shadow, of
depth and texture.
The painting has a quiet internal stillness which seems
to capture the silent passing of time.
